     Todd D. Wilkinson is a De Smet native, graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD in 1981. He then graduated from the University Of South Dakota School Of Law in 1984.

     After becoming a member of the State Bar of South Dakota, he joined the law firm of Wilkinson & Steele in De Smet. Mr. Steele left the firm in 1987 when he was appointed Circuit Court Judge and Todd became a partner to the firm and the name was changed to Wilkinson & Wilkinson Law Firm. 

     Todd's primary emphasizes in his practice are business transactions, estate planning and probate, real estate matters, and agricultural law. 

     Todd is admitted to practice before all South Dakota Court both State and Federal. Todd is a member of the Agricultural Law Committee of South Dakota and the Real Property Committee. 

     As a livestock owner, Todd is actively involved in cattle feeding and finishing, farming, and ranching and brings a wealth of agricultural background to this practice. With his involvement in agriculture, Todd has seen his practice grow with extensive involvement in agricultural related issues including zoning, animal feeding, land use, business structure, and tax issues.

    A strong community and organization member who believes that volunteering is a key to leadership development, Todd has served as President of the South Dakota Cattleman’s Association, President of the South Dakota Snowmobile Association, President of American Council of Snowmobile Association, President of South Dakota Jaycees, President of the American Lutheran Church and President of the De Smet Development Council. Todd currently serves on many local and State boards, South Dakota Cattlemen's Foundation, and is currently the Vice-Chair of Policies of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA).

     Todd and wife Jean have 3 adult children, Nick, Nicole and Michelle and have 9 grandchildren. When Todd is not in the office you will find him at snowmobiling, watching Husker and Bronco football, board/committee meetings, or spending time with his family but always keeping himself busy.

     Michelle is a De Smet native and returned to the area in 2010 after receiving her bachelor degree in Paralegal Studies. 

     She predominantly works in the areas of estate planning, probates, business transaction, and real estate matters. She prides herself in being organized and efficient to provide the best work for the firm and their clients.

     Michelle and her husband Dan live in Volga with their 2 daughters and enjoy snowmobiling, attending football games, being outdoors, and being with family.
